Shotley School is situated on a hill overlooking the rivers Orwell and Stour. The main building dates from 1914 with a large extension added in 1953.
Message from the Headmaster:
It has been clear to me since I joined the school in September 2018 that Shotley is a school with a number of strengths and plenty of potential. It is a caring school, with a committed staff, and a place where children are at the heart of all we do.
My priority is to ensure that the changes we make in this new chapter of the school’s history as part of Asset Education are supported by the whole school community, so that together we can continue to develop Shotley Primary to be the best it can be.
This website aims to give you sense of school life, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.
Visits to the school from prospective parents are warmly welcomed; please phone the school office to make an appointment, and we will be delighted to show you around. If you have any questions please do not hesitate in getting in touch and we will do our best to help you. Your thoughts and views on how we can all work together in a meaningful way are always welcome.
Looking forward to working with you.
