The Peninsula Community Recycling Centre, Shotley Road, Chelmondiston IP9 1EF
The Recycling Centre is being run on a voluntary basis.
Opening times are :
Wednesdays - 9.30am to 12noon
Saturdays - 9.30am to 12noon
The site will accept most items, including garden waste.
We CANNOT accept fridges/freezers, gas bottles, asbestos, TV monitors, vehicle batteries, tyres, garden soil, plasterboard, liquid and hazardous wastes, including paint.
To help cover the cost of the skips, we need a contribution. Please be reasonable. Be prepared to pay a little more if you have a large load. Prices are from :
£2.00 for a small car boot.
£5 for Estate cars. £5+ for trailers and 4x4's. £5+ for a 'Builder's bag' depending on content. Larger loads - cost negotiable.
Please note Polystyrene, plastic and cardboard should NOT be put in the paper bank!
If you can't make Wednesdays or Saturdays, please contact Alan Nunn (01473 780654) who may be able to arrange a different time with you.

Bottle Banks
The bottle bank in Shotley can be found in the Village Hall car park. Further bottle banks can be found opposite the Red Lion in Chelmondiston and at the Recycling Centre on the Shotley Road. We ask you to have consideration for the residents who live nearby when depositing your bottles. The revenue brought in by the bottle bank in Shotley is used by the Shotley Village Hall Management Committee. |
