Accompanied by the boom boom of a special fence hammer, the sound of children's chatter and laughter cut through the air in Heritage Wood as new trees were being planted.
Led by Steve and Jane Leach, under the watchful eye of wildlife expert Ian Peters, scouts, cubs and beavers all helped plant dozens of saplings.
Scouter Giles White was among the adults lending some muscle as the volunteers enthusiasically went about planting Damson, Wild Cherry, Hazel and Cherry Plum trees as part of the Heritage Wood project.
The trees were kindly provided by Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB team.
The whole area already looks fabulous and is a testament to the hard work done by so many, no wonder the Footpath Group won a Community Award recently.
