Our next meeting is due to take place on Monday 28th February at 7:00pm, at the Shotley Vineyard.
We are appealing for anyone wishing to get involved, to please come along or let us know so we can add you to the list.
We are looking for more:
- Help in general (to help erect marquees, direct traffic, clean the village hall, deliver afternoon teas, assist with picnic areas within our open-spaces, litter pick and cleaning on the following day
- Mobile food and drink stalls
- Community Groups - this is a brilliant opportunity to organise an event where you can introduce your work and even do some much-needed fund-raising
- Knitters, crocheters and seamstresses - to make lots of lovely bunting to adorn the village
- and a DJ
On Saturday 4th June:
It would be lovely if our residents could decorate their front gardens and bring their picnics to eat outside. All our green spaces will also be available for picnics and we are planning to close Kingsland to the traffic for a "proper" street party.
We hope all our businesses will be open so there is something for everyone, whether it be a takeaway, a good pint or a glass of locally produced wine.
There will be lots going on all day and this will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to really enjoy themselves without having to worry about travelling anywhere. Bring your friends and family and make it really special.
And we haven't even mentioned the Treasure Hunt....more on that later...
We look forward to seeing you there or hearing from you.
Thank you.
