The cables under the Stour were all successfully pulled through a week ago and with the HV Cable jointing completed last week, the main excavation for the drill was backfilled on Friday.
The Parish Council has been advised that, all being well, the final jointing to fibre cables in the excavation at the top of Whinney Queech will be completed early this week and therefore the final excavation backfilled before the end of this week. Over the following two weeks, the area will be cleared and tidied. Topsoil will be laid where required and the timber fence will be re-erected alongside Stourside. Obviously, with the weather as it is now, they will not grass seed it just yet but will do as soon as practicable.
