Back

Shotley Scouts started in 1960 but at this time there is no scout group in Shotley and the nearest group is located in Holbrook - pleasae see below to see the details of the meetings in Holbrook. If you would like there to be scouting in Shotley again and would be interested in starting up a group or helping out at Holbrook scouts you can contact the District Commission on the Wolsey Scout Page (https://wolseyscouts.org.uk/)

If you would like your child to start there scouting adventure the Holbrook scout web site is 1st Holbrook (Suffolk) Scout Group (suffolkscouts.org.uk) or contact Adrian Garnham - email adriangarnham53@gmail.com

Young People - Are You ready to begin your adventure?

Come and join our scout troop. There are three sections you can join, depending on your age. The activities and opportunities vary but what is the same is that each will empower you to make friends, learn skills and try new things. For ages 6 - 14.

Become a Volunteer - There are many ways you can kick-start your adventure, as a young person, parent or adult volunteer. Our volunteers get involved on their terms and not all roles involve working with young people. If you can give a little time (or a lot) to help improve young lives in your community, we'd love to hear from you.

1st Holbrook Scouts are based in Holbrook.  Most of our scouts come from Holbrook and the surrounding villages such as Stutton, Tattingstone, Wherstead and Chelmondiston.

How to enrol your child:

There are fun and exciting activities and opportunities in each of the five sections:

  •   Beavers (ages 6–8) - meet at Holbrook Primary School from 17.15 - 18.30 on Wednesdays during term time
  •
  • Cubs (ages 8-10) - meet at Stutton School from 19.00 - 20.45 Fridays during term time
