Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s monarch for the past 70 years, has died peacefully at Balmoral, aged 96

8 September 2022

 

The Shotley Parish Council is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of  Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Union flag on the grounds of the Shotley Village Hall has been lowered to half-mast.

A book of condolence will operate from the St Mary's Church on the side altar.

Floral tributes may also be left in and around the Church.
