The Shotley Footpath Group has received a 'Community Achievement Award' for its work in managing Shotley Heritage Park.
The award was presented by Councillor James Long, Chairman of Babergh District Council lasy night for 'Improving the quality of life for residents in our district'.
Geraint Pugh and Gary Richens represented the Group at the event and commented that they were 'the tip of an iceberg of support and effort that has helped develop the woodland and coastal pathway at Shotley Gate'.
Another recipient was Richard Davis, from Erwarton, who was presented with a community award for his great work on the Good Neighbours scheme.
