Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Shotley.
Police were called by the ambulance service to the single vehicle collision which happened at around 10.44am yesterday, Sunday 6 July along The Street (B1456) in Shotley.
The 18 year old rider of a red Hongdou motorcycle came off the road and sustained serious head injuries.
The man was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s hospital by the air ambulance where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle travelling along the road prior to the collision taking place.
