The East Anglian Storytelling Festival, now in its fourth year, celebrates the wonderful tradition of oral storytelling – and brings it right up to date for today’s audiences with comic tales, true stories and magical myths! We will be bringing together storytellers from across the region and further afield to tell stories for young and old.
Join us in the Marquee for children’s crafts in the morning and family stories in the afternoon. There’s also a chance to try your hand at telling yourself in the Storyround sessions – share those stories your granny told you, the ones you make up for your kids at bedtime, or even the one you heard down the pub!
In the education hub there will be professional development sessions for Storytellers in the morning and storytelling shows for adult audiences in the afternoon.
In the evening in the restaurant our star tellers will be lining up to entertain you, with festival patron and Radio 4 favourite Taffy Thomas MBE, the nation’s first storytelling laureate, heading the bill.
There will be camping for those that want to stay for the whole weekend and for campers there will be the magic of stories round the campfire after everyone else has gone home!
Camping, session and weekend tickets will be available soon over at www.eastanglianstorytellingfestival.co.uk The East Anglian Storytelling Festival believes in making stories accessible for all, so tickets are on a sliding ‘pay what you feel’ scale, with a minimum to cover our costs.
We look forward to spinning some yarns with you in June!
